Welcome to Learning 101

Whether you are a new or continuing student at Cal Poly Humboldt, this tutorial is designed to help you build the learning skills you need to be successful, become comfortable using technology in your courses, and gain experience with Canvas. While we focus on the online environment, you will easily be able to apply what you learn to any type of university course.

We've added a new module this year on thinking and AI. There is indeed a lot to think about!

Lighting Your Path

As you know, you will qualify for graduation with a mix of courses in your major and GEAR. The curriculum has been developed to inform and empower you to succeed in your career and as a person. Furthermore, Cal Poly Humboldt's vision is to be a campus for those who seek above all else to improve the global human condition and our relationship with the environment.

Be thoughtful about and deeply engaged in your education. How will you choose to learn? How will you expand your knowledge and skills? How do you want to live in the world?
