Use common sense when you are focusing on your coursework. If you are purposefully using X or Insta for a class, based on your teacher's instructions, that's fine.

However, if you are studying for a test, writing an essay, doing math homework, or completing any assignment that requires dedicated focus, it's important to turn off your phone and any pop-up notifications on your computer or tablet that might pull you away from your work.

Multi-tasking is fine in some instances, but if you want to do well in your college coursework, you need to create the space, structure and time to learn.
