Your Brag Sheet is your opportunity to let yourself shine. We know that it can be awkward for many, if not most, of you to write amazing things about yourselves down on paper, but doing so is imperative as you try to convince organizations to give you money for college.

What Should You Include on Your Brag Sheet?

Maybe you volunteered at the County Fair every year since you were twelve years old, but so did five of your friends — there's nothing special about that, right? Or maybe your family needed you to take care of your younger siblings after school and work on the weekends to make ends meet, keeping you from playing sports and volunteering, so you have nothing to write down, right? 

Wrong.

We want you to make note of everything on your Brag Sheet, whether you played a sport, had a job, participated in school or local clubs, raised money for charity, or cared for family. Think of your Brag Sheet as your resume for scholarships. You'll record everything you've done and present it in a way that makes you shine.

Why Do You Need a Brag Sheet?

Whenever you ask someone to write you a letter of recommendation, they'll probably ask for a copy of your Brag Sheet or something similar. Also, as you apply for scholarships, some will ask that you upload a document summarizing what you've done in high school — also known as your Brag Sheet.

Use our Scholarship Brag Sheet Template to get started. Your school might ask you to fill out their sheet, but don't worry — completing this one will help you fill out any other similar form you might need this year!

Make a copy of the Scholarship Brag Sheet Links to an external site.

After you've made a copy, rename it to (Your Name)'s Scholarship Brag Sheet and save it to your Google Drive. When it's all filled out, upload a PDF to this assignment so we can see it!
